RRSP growth calculator

Estimate how an RRSP balance could grow with regular contributions. Explore returns, investment fees and inflation before Canadian withdrawal taxes.

Your scenario

Method and limitations

Net annual growth factor = (1 + annual return) × (1 − annual asset fee). Convert this effective factor to a monthly rate. Add the combined contribution at each month end. Today’s-money values divide by cumulative assumed inflation. Contributions stay flat in nominal terms. Returns are constant scenarios, not forecasts; no tax, contribution room or benefit eligibility is calculated.

This tool uses arithmetic scenario assumptions rather than a statutory pension formula.

Project an RRSP balance before withdrawal tax

An RRSP projection is different from an RRSP tax refund calculation. Enter contributions you are entitled to make, based on your own available room. Future value is not spendable after-tax income, because withdrawals can be taxable.

Worked example

A CAD 1,000 opening balance with CAD 100 monthly contributions reaches CAD 2,200 after one year if returns and fees are zero.
